Abstract: There is currently trellis-training system that achieves high yields, comparable to a parral, with highquality wine and the possibility of machine harvest. Several growers in our area proposed amendments to driving systems. An innovation was the system of divided canopy "Ramé", developed by the local viticulture Luis Alberto Ramero. Luis Alberto Ramero grower sought was to have higher yields (comparable to the one of a parral), while maintaining high quality wine grapes. Also, to be able to set fabric hail economic and mechanize harvesting using a machine designed ad hoc shaking side laces. The objective of this work was to evaluate the relationship between total leaf area and production (SFT/P), Rame system with the variant of different number of plants per unit area. For its evaluation different measurements were made per unit area in cycles 2014-2015 and 2015-2016. Among them, we focused on total foliar surface area by grape production and anthocyanins and IPT (Total polyphenol Index) grape contents. Il was observed that Ramé system, regardless the number of plants per ha, maintained high anthocyanins values (1.2 mg/Kg of grape) and IPT (43) together with high production (15.2 T/ha). The values of SFT/P were between 0.56 and 0.7 m2/Kg of grape. Considering this performance, added to the possibility of mechanization of the system, it can be concluded that Ramé offers very favourable growing conditions and high possibilities of local developing.
