Abstract: In the current context of climatic, socio-economic and environmental changes, vinegrowers have to modify their farming systems to reduce environmental impacts while still assuring profitability at farm scale. Organic farming appeared to be an interesting production mode to face these changes. In few farms simple adjustments can be sufficient to operate conversion but, in most farms, changes in the technical operations are not obvious and can lead to a decrease in the performances particularly yield losses from the first year of conversion. We presented the first results of a study on the yield dynamics during the conversion to organic farming related to pests and disease pressure and management.
