Abstract: The fungal diseases that affect grapevine wood are very limiting factors for viticulture and difficult to control. Several pathogens are associated with these diseases, such as the fungi of the family Botryosphaeriaceae. In this context, this work aimed to verify the effect of chemical fungicides, biological agents and plant extracts on the control of fungi Botryosphaeriaceae, causal agents of death and decline of the vines. Two isolates of Lasiodiplodia theobromae and two of Lasiodiplodia brasiliense were used for in vitro experiments. Doses of 0%, 5%, 10%, 15% and 20% of clove, cinnamon, garlic, rosemary and lemongrass extracts and the commercial doses of difeconazole, tebuconazole, mancozeb, sulfur, pyraclostrobin, fosetyl-Al, azoxystrobin, chitosan, Trichoderma harzianum and Bacillus subtilis were tested in the control of mycelial growth of isolated fungi. Clove and garlic extracts and the products tebuconazole, pyraclostrobin, mancozeb, fosetyl-Al and the biological control agent B. subtilis reduced by more than 90% the mycelial growth of the pathogens. Trichoderma harzianum also reduced significantly the mycelial growth of pathogens. Preliminary work on potted plants had already shown potential use of these products in protecting grapevine pruning wounds against other causative agents of grapevine decline, requiring further research for a possible recommendation for commercial use.
